L. Webster Johnson, MD
Dr. L. Webster Johnson is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been practicing with GIS since 2002. He is currently a partner with GastroIntestinal Specialists and serves on the Board of Directors. Dr. Johnson is a clinical investigator with the Louisiana Research Center, and he has participated in more than 100 research studies. His particular areas of interest include irritable bowel, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and general gastroenterology.
Dr. Johnson’s training includes a fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, preceded by his internship, residency and medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Before attending medical school, Dr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science from Centenary College of Louisiana with a minor in history. He is a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Shreveport Medical Society.
