Arthur L. Poch, MD
Dr. Arthur L. Poch is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been practicing with GIS since 1982. He is a partner with GastroIntestinal Specialists and serves on the Board of Directors. Dr. Poch is an active staff member of the Shreveport Endoscopy Center: an ambulatory surgery center. He is also a clinical investigator with the Louisiana Research Center, and he has participated in more than 50 research studies. Dr. Poch’s particular areas of interest include inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer screening, motility disorders and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). He has served as Chief of Staff for Willis-Knighton Medical Center, and he has been Director of the Red River GI Conference. Dr. Poch is actively involved in the American College of Gastroenterology. His training includes a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas that was preceded by his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine after completing a Bachelor of Science from Hamilton College in New York.
Dr. Poch was raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He enjoys snow skiing and tennis.
