James C. Hobley, MD

Dr. James C. Hobley is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has practiced in Shreveport since 2006. He is currently a partner with GastroIntestinal Specialists and serves on the Board of Directors. His particular areas of interest include diseases of the pancreas, the esophagus and health disparities in colorectal cancer screenings.

Dr. Hobley’s training consists of a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (including his internship and residency), as well as receiving a Master of Science in Health Evaluation Sciences. Before attending medical school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Professional societies include the Pennsylvania State University Alumni Association, American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Hobley is currently serving as President for the Louisiana Gastroenterologist Society.

Dr. Hobley is a Shreveport native, and he enjoys golf, tennis and music.
