Nicolas T. LaBarre, MD
Dr. Nicolas T. LaBarre is a board certified gastroenterologist who joined GIS in 2021. Dr. LaBarre’s particular areas of clinical interest lie in general Gastroenterology and colorectal cancer prevention with special interest in pancreaticobiliary disorders and interventional endoscopy, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Dr. LaBarre received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. From there, he went on to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport to receive his Medical Degree. His Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship were both completed at Medical University of South Carolina. Following completion of his general gastroenterology fellowship, he completed an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Atrium Health – Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. LaBarre is a proud Shreveport native who enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and hobbies including fishing, cycling, and golf.
