COLONOSCOPY

Colonoscopy is a test that allows your doctor to look at the inner lining of your large intestine (rectum and colon).

ENDOSCOPIC RETROGRADE CHOLANGIOPANCREATOGRAPHY (ERCP)

An endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram (ERCP) test checks the tubes (ducts) that drain the liver, gallbladder and pancreas.

ESOPHAGOGASTRODUODENOSCOPY (EDG)

An upper gastrointestinal (UGI) endoscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to look at the inside lining of your esophagus, your stomach and the first part of your small intestine.

FLEXIBLE SIGMOIDOSCOPY

Anoscopy, proctoscopy and sigmoidoscopy tests allow your doctor to look at the inner lining of your anus, your rectum and the lower part of the large intestine (colon).

HEMORRHOIDAL BANDING

Rubber band ligation is a procedure in which the hemorrhoid is tied off at its base with rubber bands, cutting off the blood flow to the hemorrhoid.

LIVER BIOPSY

A liver biopsy is done using a needle inserted between two of the right lower ribs to remove a sample of liver tissue.

PARACENTESIS

Paracentesis is a procedure to take out fluid that has collected in the belly (peritoneal fluid).

VIDEO CAPSULE ENDOSCOPY

Video capsule endoscopy is a procedure that allows a doctor to examine our small intestine for sources of bleeding.
