Nicolas T. LaBarre, MD

Dr. Nicolas T. LaBarre is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been practicing with GIS since 2021. Dr. LaBarre’s particular areas of clinical interest are in general gastroenterology and colorectal cancer prevention with special interest in pancreaticobiliary disorders and interventional endoscopy, including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).

Dr. LaBarre received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University. From there, he went on to Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport to receive his medical degree. His Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship were both completed at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following completion of his General Gastroenterology Fellowship, he completed an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in North Carolina.

Dr. LaBarre is a proud Shreveport native who enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include fishing, cycling and golf.
